When a motorist ran into the Market Cross in Cheddar it gave us an opportunity to assemble a three-dimensional jigsaw.
Two bays of the hexagonal cross were nearly totally destroyed by the impact. The cross was cleaned using both the JOS and Doff, and then through a balanced combination of new stone and conservation, rebuilt. The cross was then sheltercoated to consolidate and replenish the conserved stone.
