Gable at Cricket St Thomas
With the original house at Cricket St Thomas being in Ham stone, this contract gave us a great opportunity to build a classical gable end in one of our local stones.
The gable, measuring approximately 8m across and 11m high used over 450 cubic feet of stone from Ham Hill. The stone was finished to a fine-rubbed finish. The masonry was fixed by our own masons, tying the stone back to the blockwork using stainless steel fixings.
