Conservation in Bath and Wells

Conservation is an integral part of our work portfolio, from wholesale cleaning and reparation of a building, to more detailed conservation of medieval statuary.

These 18th century houses, one in Wells and the other in Bath, were steam cleaned with the DOFF proprietary cleaning system, and where necessary recalcitrant dirt was removed with the JOS system. There was some new stone replacement, and lime repairs using hybrid mortars (a combination of putty and hydraulic limes). Both buildings were then shelter coated, using mixes which matched the Doulting stone in Wells, and the Bath stone in Bath.
