New Window for St Peter's

Since St Peter's Church, Titchfield, is on the south coast, the restoration of one of the fifteenth century chancel windows meant we could work the creamy limestone from Caen, Normandy. We had to replace the whole of the exterior, back to the glass line, and repair and conserve parts of the interior. New tracery, mullions, jambs and hood were manufactured to the original line (an awkward task since the window was asymmetric) and doweled onto the existing. We also had to organise a stained glazier to remove and restore the Victorian glass.
