Following from the success of Martin Smith in the 2007 Duke of Gloucester Awards (see News, 30 October 2007), our third year apprentice, Marc Pate (right), has been awarded 'Stonemasonry Apprentice of the Year' by Weymouth College for his outstanding achievements during 2007. Marc, 21, completed his NVQ Level 2 at Weymouth, but is now studying to attain Level 3 at Moulton College, Northampton.
