Peter Arkell - Managing Director

After gaining an Honours Degree in Zoology, Peter joined Gilbert & Turnbull in 1980. When he left ‘Gilberts’ 9 years later to form his own stonemasonry business, he was acting as general manager. In 1993 he joined WCS, becoming a Production Director in 1995, Joint MD in 2000, and finally becoming sole Managing Director in 2004.

Ryan Brunt - Production Director

Ryan has worked for WCS man and boy. He completed his stonemasonry apprenticeship 1992, and represented the UK in the Skill Olympics in Thailand in 1993, winning the bronze medal. In 2000 Ryan was made director, responsible for production.

 

Simon Armstrong - Director

With an Honours Degree in Biochemistry, Simon worked in academic publishing for four years. In 1992 he attended Bath College and retrained as a stonemason. He joined WCS as a banker mason in 1994, eventually being made Director in 2001. In 2002 he attended Bristol University, and was awarded a post-graduate qualification in architectural conservation. In the same year he moved to France to work as a stonemason, returning to WCS in 2005.
