A Jurassic oolitic limestone quarried in Somerset near Shepton Mallet, notable for its warm, honey-brown colour. Used extensively in Wells Cathedral and other historic buildings, it is durable and easy to carve. Doulting stone weathers well, making it suitable for both historic restorations and new constructions.
